The Friends of Pagosa Multi-Purpose Pavilion announce the five-judge panel for their next recipe contest fundraiser. The four-chef panel of judges includes Kenneth Martinez, Matt Baum, Mark Barber and Mandy Barber. Rounding out the panel will be celebrity judge Diane Bower Pagosa Springs fire chief.

The fundraiser for “A Taste of Pagosa Cookbook” will involve recipe contests for both appetizers and beverages. The cocktail-style event will be held Friday, Jan. 17, at The View restaurant from 6 to 8 p.m. and will include a silent auction.

All recipes entered will be included in the cookbook with gold, silver and bronze medals awarded in both categories. Participants of the event will have the opportunity to taste all of the delicious beverages (alcoholic and non) and appetizer entries while browsing the silent auction and enjoying the wonderful musical trio of Sally Neel, Kathy Wadenpfuhl and Heidi Tanner from Curtains Up Pagosa.

Admission to the event is $20, with no additional fees to enter the recipe contests. All proceeds go to support The Friends of Pagosa Multi-Purpose Pavilion, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization under the Community Foundation of Southwest Colorado, working to build an entertainment pavilion benefitting youth sports scholarships.
