A Pagosa Springs man was found dead late Saturday morning in Aspen Springs and is believed to have died from hypothermia.
The man, who is not being identified by authorities pending notification of next of kin, is believed to have been involved in a crash sometime late Friday night or early morning, according to Archuleta County Coroner Carl Macht.
Macht said he believes the man tried to walk home after crashing a vehicle into a tree, walked in circles for a while and fell in the snow.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death is scheduled for Wednesday.
