Gilbert Hill Bright recently passed away at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation Center. He was a Colorado native born in Sterling 86 years ago. He graduated from the University of Denver where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Mr. Bright served in the Army and the Air Force in both the Second World War and the Korean War.
Gilbert retired as a manufacturer’s representative for General Electric in the two-way radio division. He and his family moved to Pagosa in 1980. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lenore, his three children, David, Steven and Kristina, and two grandchildren, Michael and Rachel Bright.
