For nearly a year, several town council members have suggested constructing a sidewalk along the south side of Piedra Street from 8th Street past 10th Street to the Old Durango Road at the edge of the elementary school soccer fields, thereby giving children living on the south side of town a safe route to and from school.
The question is how much to do, and when — and how much to spend —with council members and staff split on which plan to adopt.
