The Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners has opted to exempt its county landfill from Colorado’s electronic waste ban that goes into effect on July 1.
The ban is part of Senate Bill 12-133, known as the Electronic Recycling Jobs Act, that was signed into law during Earth Day celebrations. The act seeks to prevent electronic devices from being disposed of in landfills.
