County commission supports historic designation efforts

On April 16, the Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners approved two letters of support of efforts to recognize the railroading history of the area.

Both letters offer “conceptual support” for two different projects — listing the Pagosa Junction area on the National Register of Historic Places, and a scenic byway designation along an old railway and logging route.
