Pagosa students advance to state Skills USA competition

On Friday, March 1, members of the Pagosa Springs High School Chapter of Skills USA competed in the District 8 contest.

This competition is held to see who has the privilege of going to the state level to compete.

The following Pagosa students achieved that success and will be competing in Denver at the State Skills USA competition.

Automotive Service Technology 

First — Jacob Fortney.

Second — Zack Leewitt.

Computer Programming

First —  Isaiah Thompson.

Second — Jesse Richardson.

Crime Scene Investigation

First — the Pagosa team of Alexa Alexander, Cody Couch and Wes Schoneman.

First — Megan Davey.

Welding

Second —  Zach Curvey.

Firefighting

First — Zach Leewitt.
