2013 Pagosa Nordic Fest X-C Ski Races

Last weekend the Pagosa Nordic Club hosted a two-day series of cross country ski races during a storm that brought 18 inches of fresh snow in town and 48 inches in the mountains.

Following are the weekend’s event winners.

Distance races

• 4km classic cross country ski: first place, Suellen Loher; second place, Paul Farrah.

• 8km classic cross country ski: first place: Kitzel Farrah.

• 16km classic cross country ski: first place: Pete May.

• 8km skate ski: first place, Jennifer Martin; second place, David Hayden.

•12km skate ski: first place, Jurgen Montgomery; second place, Mark Seaton; third place, Jeri Sullivan.

• 24km skate ski: first place, Clay Moseley; second place, Tarik Salehn; third place, John Mohs.

• Kids’ 2km classic ski: first place, Taylor Cotts; second place, Dylan Goodman.

Sprint races

• Classic 1 km: first place, Steve Ilg; second place, Pete May.

• Skate ski 1km: first place, Clay Moseley, second place, Tarik Salehn, third place, Lauren Muir.

• Relay Races: first place, Moseley/Ilg, second place, Salehn/May, third place, Paul and Kitzel Farrah and Lauren Muir.

Red Ryder BB Gun Biathlon

• 4km Classic Ski Biathlon: first place, Steve Ilg; second place, John Garcia; third place, Connie Cliusbuck.

• 8km Skate Ski Biathlon: first place, Tarik Salen, second place, Clay Moseley, third place, Lauren Muir.

Kids

• 4km Biathlon: first place, Paul Farrah.

• 2km boys: first place, Caleb Laverty.

• 2km girls: first place, Destiny Rivas; second place, Gillian Jolley.
