Janet moved to Pagosa Springs in 1998. She worked for the U.S. Forest Service for several years. For the past three years, she worked at Lake Capote. She was very giving and knowledgeable. Ever since she was little, she has been faithful to the Oakland Raiders; Janet loved to talk football. She was always there through the high times and low times. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, Andrew Wedin. She is survived by her brothers, Bruce and Keith Wedin of California.
Spreading of the ashes will be held at East Fork, Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at noon at a site all the way up to the two rocks, approximately five miles from U.S. 160. Friends will camp together Friday and Saturday nights at the campground nearest the site. Bring campers/tents and warm clothes. A potluck lunch will be held Saturday at 1 p.m.
Come out and help us thank her for being our friend and send her on her way. Her favorite season was winter and it is here.
